One’s mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions." ~ Oliver Wendell Holmes
Compassionate educator and proud mother, who wears many "hats" within my family as well as professionally. I am a "glass half-full" thinker which means I am optimistic, patient, creative, competitive, adaptable and fun. Being an educator affords me the opportunity to change lives and build capacity in students and my colleagues. In my professional role, I have the responsibility to be the vessel to academically excel students, ensure they are socially sound, and stretch their intellect and experiences to prepare them for college and career experiences. I aspire to advance in educational leadership to impact student achievement on a larger scale, through different lens. As my college professor once said, “fresh eyes” can often see from a different angle or spot missed opportunities than those eyes that may have been gazing at the same thing for some time. |
